K-Tron Provides ATEX Certified Feeders for Hazardous Areas

PITMAN, NJ (March 10, 2004)—K-Tron provides ATEX certified feeders for installation in potentially explosive atmospheres, meeting the requirements according to EU Directive 94/9 (ATEX 100a). 

Since July 2003, electrical equipment and protective systems that operate in areas where there is risk of explosion have been subject to the new European Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX 100a).

K-Tron has responded to the new regulations with a series of hazardous area options for most models of feeders manufactured by the company.

The type certificate and the certification of the manufacturing process now satisfy the rigorous stipulations of the new Directive 94/9 EG (ATEX 100a) in full measure.
