K-Tron Introduces New Gain-in-Weight Batching System (KGIW);
Handles Up to Eight Ingredients and Batch Sizes of 5 to 800 Kilograms
PITMAN, NJ (June 14, 2004)--The K-Tron Feeder Group has introduced a new Gain-in-weight batching system (KGIW) for use in batch applications involving up to eight materials and 100 recipes lines. The KGIW can produce batch sizes from 5 to 800 kilograms. The weigh hopper volume can range from 80 to 750 liters. Each material is sequentially and independently metered to the weighed collection hopper from which the completed batch is discharged. Any of K-Tron’s wide range of volumetric feeders--single and twin screw, Bulk Solids Pump Feeder™ (BSP), or PID device--can be used, depending on material handling characteristics. All K-Tron KGIW batching systems are fully integrated and engineered by K-Tron’s dedicated Systems Engineering Group. Fully integrated hopper refill and agitation solutions are available to assure consistent supply and reliable flow. -end-
