The K-Tron Systems Engineering Group begins with K-Tron’s core technologies of feeding, vacuum conveying, weighing and controls. The group engineers a complete solution and supplements the additional material handling equipment needed for the project with use of other vendors. The K-Tron Systems Engineering Group has successfully delivered hundreds of custom engineered solutions to the pharmaceutical and other process industries. The Systems Group has extensive experience supporting customers with the FDA validation process and ATEX or NEC requirements for hazardous areas.
K-Tron’s systems range from small skid-mounted systems that can be shipped from the factory to large projects, such as pharmaceutical dispensaries, requiring custom PLC integration and on-site supervision of installation. Projects may involve storage vessels/tanks/hoppers, loading and unloading bulk containers, mechanical and pneumatic conveying and refill, process controls and communications to PLCs or other factory systems as well as auxiliary items such as valves, sensors, dust collection and metal detection.
